Moncler Holds The First "Hackers Marathon" To Stimulate Employees' Innovative Ability

In July 4th, Moncler, a luxury brand in Italy, hosted the first Hackathon (hacking marathon) creative activity in Milan.

The duration of the activity is 24 hours. The time is from 5 p.m. in July 4th to five p.m. in July 5th, and 405 employees from all over the world take part in this activity. The group hopes that Hackathon's unique team activities will enable employees to brainstorm their creativity and enhance their teamwork ability while seeking innovative business solutions.

(Hackathon: hackers marathon, also known as programming marathon, hacker Festival, hacking day or programming section. In activities, programmers work closely with other software development personnel, such as graphic designers, interface designers, project managers, etc. to develop a software. The duration of Hackathon varies from a few days to a week.

The current Hackathon focuses on 9 areas, including products, IT (Information Technology Engineering), supply chain, sustainable development and internal teaching. After the end of the event, the jury will evaluate the employees' achievements from two aspects: project feasibility and business impact.

Remo Ruffini, chief executive of Moncler, believes that Moncler Hackathon combines the three important foundations of innovative thinking, digital technology (Digital Culture) and cross cooperation (cross-collaboration). It is a way to encourage employees to break away from the rules and innovate. He said that different cultural backgrounds, professional qualities and innovative thinking are very important for the future development of Moncler. Only in this way can the company innovate and develop continuously through constant thinking.

At present, Moncler is reforming the Moncler Academy of internal training institutions. It hopes to enhance team cohesion through continuous practice and real case studies, and improve the hard strength, collaboration and communication skills of employees through AI system.

In June this year, Kai Yun group announced the digital version of the environmental profit and loss statement, and announced that it would search for a new way of using information in the 48 hour Hackathon in October to better understand the environmental impact of the luxury goods industry.
