According to statistics, the first half of 2019, China's textile and apparel products domestic market steadily slowed down, online retail growth is good. The total retail sales of clothing, shoes and hats and needle textiles were 656 billion yuan, up 3% over the same period last year, and the growth rate slowed down compared with the same period last year. The export pressure of textile industry increased significantly compared with the same period last year, and the adjustment of product structure and market structure was speeded up.
The responsible person pointed out that in the second half of 2019, the export situation of the textile industry will be even more severe, and the total volume of exports will gradually increase. But China's macroeconomic environment and domestic consumption market will still provide the primary development support for the industry.
