Bangladesh Leather Industry Begins To Recover

Bangladesh's leather and leather products exports began to rebound after two years of downturn, according to Bangladesh's Independent newspaper on September 16th. According to the Export Promotion Bureau data, Bangladesh leather and leather products exports amounted to US $185 million 410 thousand in 2019 7-8, an increase of 1.32% over the same period last year. The Bangladesh tanning Association said that in addition to traditional markets such as South Korea, China, the European Union, the United States and Canada, non-traditional markets such as South Africa, India, Australia, Spain, Japan and Singapore have increased.
