In July 10th of the same year, the United States released a list of proposals to levy 10% tariffs on Chinese products for 200 billion US dollars. This list covers most textile materials, semi-finished products and a small number of clothing accessories. The United States accounts for 37% of the total export of Chinese cashmere sweaters, which is no good news for the cashmere industry. Since May this year, the cashmere market has begun to fall. Affected by this, the downstream textile enterprises take a single look at the production enthusiasm is not high.

In addition, China's economic growth has entered a stage of adjustment, which also has a certain impact on the cashmere market. In 2018, China's GDP growth rate was 6.6%, down 0.2% from the previous year. In the first half of 2019, the growth rate of GDP was 6.3%, down 0.5% from the same period last year. As a light luxury product, cashmere products have higher demand elasticity of income, which is obviously affected by economic growth, and consumers have changed their views on "soft gold".
