When

Before, the prospects for the development of the nylon industry are broad. The industry expects that by 2025, the world's capacity will exceed 10 million tons, of which the main production capacity is concentrated in China.

In the face of the great development of the nylon industry, how can enterprises seize the draught? Maybe we can attract 400 from more than 30 countries and regions around the world. More than one industry person Caprolactam and nylon forum find the answer.

On December 4th ~6, the seventeenth China International caprolactam and nylon Forum (2019) was held in Shanghai. This forum is hosted by the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association polyamide branch and China Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd., hosted by Heng Tian LAN Xiu Network Technology Co., Ltd. (meshnet) and Thailand Rong global Chemistry Co., Ltd., which is also a joint work between Tai Kerong and China in the successful holding of the sixteen China caprolactam and nylon forum. Renowned enterprises such as Shen Yuanxin, Japan, Nanjing, Sumitomo, Japan, Sumitomo, Hengyi petrochemical, Sinopec, Sinopec, Oriental, Huafeng spandex, Shenma industries, and related industry associations, government agencies and colleges and universities attended the meeting.

Nylon industry usher in a great development period

Nylon, nylon, is the first synthetic fiber product developed in the world. It has many excellent properties, such as good moisture absorption, good dyeing, high strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in clothing, luggage, cord, transmission belt, hose, rope, fishing net and other fields. It can also be used as engineering plastics in machinery, household appliances, automobile and other industrial fields. At present, nylon has become the second largest synthetic fiber product in textile field next to polyester.

For many years, the development of nylon industry has been slowing down due to the lack of upstream caprolactam supply, the high cost price drive, and the imperfect development of downstream textile supporting industries. Since 2012, the output of caprolactam industry has increased significantly and prices have been decreasing. The dependence of the nylon industry on the import of caprolactam has been greatly reduced. As the cost of caprolactam has dropped significantly, the profitability of the nylon industry has begun to increase. The leading enterprises in the industry are expanding to the upstream and downstream sectors. The integration process of caprolactam and polyamide accelerates, and the cost control ability of the nylon industry is further strengthened. Meanwhile, the rapid expansion of the capacity of the nylon industry has also led to the expansion of downstream industries in new product development and application fields, and the nylon industry is ushering in a new development cycle.

How to locate the current situation of the nylon industry? Deng Jun, Secretary General of nylon fiber branch of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, outlined: in recent years, China's Nylon industry has been developing rapidly. Among them, the upstream and downstream industry chain of nylon 6 has been linked up, and the industrial layout is becoming more and more perfect, and the market structure is basically formed. Wang Songlin, executive vice president of Hengyi Formosa Petrochemical Co, believes that the prospects for the development of the nylon industry are broad. It is estimated that by 2025, the global capacity will exceed 10 million tons, of which the main production capacity is concentrated in China.

At the same time of rapid development, the problems faced by the nylon industry are still outstanding. The shortage of resources, the urgent need to enhance product research and development, and the aggravation of market competition have become the main factors restricting the development of the industry.

Specifically, in 2019, the overall operation trend of caprolactam nylon slicing nylon spinning link dropped to a low level in the nylon industry. The operating efficiency of various links in the industrial chain has decreased. In the past year, caprolactam and civilian spinning, the economic prosperity of the industrial cord fabric has decreased, but the profit of the nylon chip market has deteriorated.

In addition, the Sino US trade war has been constantly overweight, which has brought a great impact to the industry. Song Manjun, deputy general manager of Fujian Shen Yuan new material Co., Ltd., said that the Sino US trade war and the transfer of textile production capacity and the decline in vehicle production led to a reduction in terminal consumption and a decrease in operating rate. Lin Jun, editor in chief of the Network Technology Co., Ltd., said that the Sino US trade war and the global economic recession may continue for a long time. There is still a downward trend in the prices of related products in the first quarter of 2020.

Under the background of changing economic environment and intensified industrial competition, nylon enterprises can break through. Deng Jun believes that the polyamide industry should establish a sustainable development system based on technological innovation. "From the links of the industrial chain, caprolactam technology innovation, nylon polymerization technology upgrading, and nylon spinning technology improvement are important means to achieve sustainable development. From the perspective of industrial development, the progress of energy saving and emission reduction cleaner production technology and the application of intelligent manufacturing technology will be pushed forward. The development and expansion of the mobile industry. Deng Jun said.

Only by promoting technological innovation can we grasp the opportunity of draught.

In this forum, insiders pointed out that with the development of China's economy and the improvement of the overall cost performance of nylon, a considerable part of the high-end market of polyester will be replaced by nylon with better performance and better price performance. And caprolactam, nylon polymerization and spinning technology progress is the main driving force for improving the production capacity of nylon.

In recent years, the self-sufficiency rate of caprolactam in China has increased significantly. By the end of 2018, the total capacity reached 3 million 690 thousand tons, and the self-sufficiency rate increased from about 35.6% in 2009 to 94.6%. Wang Songlin pointed out that in the next few years, the domestic caprolactam industry will continue to develop rapidly. It is estimated that by 2025, the total production capacity of caprolactam in China will be close to 10 million t/a.

The improvement of caprolactam self-sufficiency rate will reduce the production cost of China's Nylon industry, and the technological progress of caprolactam will also support the development of the whole industry chain. Wang Songlin believes that the development trend of caprolactam preparation technology mainly involves three aspects, including cyclohexanone preparation, hydrogen peroxide preparation and caprolactam preparation three blocks. For example, in the preparation of cyclohexanone, the existing process has no catalytic oxidation process, such as material consumption, high energy consumption, high environmental pressure, low overall conversion rate, high energy consumption, limited capacity of single unit, and limited use of acetone in by-product, while new technology development needs to solve the problems of material consumption, high energy consumption and production capacity of single set of devices.

Yi Chunwang, Professor of Hunan Normal University, introduced the green preparation method of caprolactam based polyamide. He pointed out that in the preparation process, a suitable combination of binary acid and two component amine should be selected. Caprolactam is also used as raw material and good solvent for high melting point monomer. Because free radicals and amino groups exist in the system, the caprolactam ring opening reaction can also be induced without water and amino hexanoate. Thus, a series of functional caprolactam copolymers with different unit structures can be prepared, and the process of salt formation and late stage water removal can be avoided.

Sustainable development has become the focus of the whole industry chain.

At present, the development of the world chemical fiber industry is facing the constraints of resources and environmental pressures. Synthetic fiber takes petroleum as the basic raw material, oil is non renewable resources, synthetic fiber is not degradable, and the carbon emissions in production process are large. At present, most of the waste textiles are being used as landfill or incineration. The research of third party organizations abroad thinks that the global "marine micro plastic pollution" mostly comes from textiles. These factors seriously restrict the sustainable development of synthetic fibers. To solve these problems, enterprises need to work hard in 4 aspects: biological sources, recycling, biodegradation, and green manufacturing.

At this forum, many participants mentioned the issue of sustainable development. They paid great attention to the development and application of environment-friendly products, such as the production of nylon fibers using the coloring technology of raw liquid, the development of bio 56 products, and the preparation of chemical fibers through recycling. The process of greening.

In 2019, the nylon industry experienced a difficult recovery year. What is the trend of the industry in 2020? Some analysts pointed out that the production capacity of caprolactam chain in 2020 will continue to grow, and the upstream and downstream will continue to show an olive type, and the growth of terminal capacity will be slower. Due to the influence of international market and industrial transformation, it is expected that the terminal demand will increase only slightly, and the upstream capacity increment can not be digested. In the face of the expansion of caprolactam production capacity, the competition of the nylon industry will further intensify.

Market opportunities always go with challenges. The future has come. Such a forum points out the development trend of the nylon industry, applies advanced technology, insight into the market trend, and implements sustainable development, so as to further fly on the industrial outlet.

Tomorrow morning, the meeting will also focus on the following topics: further discussion on the technological development trend of polyamide modified products; explore sustainable and recycling development; bio Based Polyamide: Research industrialization application development; can the production capacity of nylon 66 produce a new lease of life with the production of adiponectin? Hard 2019, recovery 2020 - Nylon 6 industry review and outlook.
