Reebok is doing its best to promote sustainable development.

In autumn, the Boston based brand will launch a plant based running shoes called Forever Floatride Grow. This reflects the company's commitment to reduce the use of petroleum based plastics in footwear by producing products from factories.

Reebok (Reebok) launched the Cotton + Corn lifestyle sustainable footwear in 2018, but Forever Floatride Grow is the first high-performance shoe. It will be launched in the autumn of 2020, with a retail price of 120 to 140 dollars.

Everlasting floating growth is an updated version of Reebok's everlasting floating energy. The most important progress in sustainable development is the cushioning bottom of the shoe. It is made from castor bean and is exclusively developed by Reebok and Sekisui, Japan. The upper is made of Eucalyptus, and the lining of the socks is Bloom algae foam, which is harvested from the invasive growth area and has a natural odor resistance. The outsole comes from real rubber trees rather than petroleum based rubber in other performance products.

Bill McInnis, vice president of Reebok Future, said: "with Forever Floatride Grow, we are replacing oil based plastics with plants." "The biggest challenge of making shoes like this is to develop plant based materials that can meet the high performance needs of runners. In the three years that we have developed the product, we have heard loud and clearly the idea of running shoes based on plants, causing strong resonance among serious runners. But the same runners also felt strongly that they would never compromise on performance. The result is always floating growth.

Reebok (Reebok) President Matt O (Matt O'Toole) said that the "cotton + corn" series is the first step to make shoes with growing things. Consumers tell us that they want more sustainable products, and the running community of this problem has always been the most active and enthusiastic. We want to help runners get the best of them and make the products they wear feel good.

In a recent interview, O'Toole said that 40% of all Reebok shoes and garments are now made from recycled polyester, with the goal of reaching 100% recycled polyester by 2025. The brand's initiatives include [Ree] grow, which is committed to [Ree] cycled, a process of making products from natural materials, with the focus on using recycled or reused materials to make products.
