A few days ago, WAL-MART China reviewed the performance of the past year and announced that the sales volume of its entire channel line and line maintained a three digit growth, with more than 50 million digital customers. At the same time, WAL-MART announced its future strategic plan, including 500 new stores and cloud storage in the Chinese market in the next 5 to 7 years.

Data show that over the past year, the average monthly sales growth of "WAL-MART home" O2O business has increased by 60%, while the sales and sales of WAL-MART community stores are both double digit growth. The membership of Sam's member stores has achieved 20% penetration in some cities, and the proportion of three private brand merchandise sales has steadily increased.

Chen Wenyuan, President and chief executive officer of WAL-MART China, said that according to the latest quarter, that is, the third quarter earnings, WAL-MART has achieved better performance in China in the past five years. We are still accelerating the digital process, expanding the differentiation advantage and serving more families and communities to become the most trusted retailers.

According to the financial report, sales in the same store in the United States increased by 3.2% in the third quarter of October 31, 2019, and the quarterly sales growth for four consecutive years. In overseas markets, WAL-MART China has gained over five years' sales of super large profits, with a net sales growth of 6.3%, an increase of 3.7%.

Therefore, for the development and future planning of 2020, Chen Wenyuan revealed that at present, WAL-MART has opened more than 400 stores in more than 170 cities in China. It is estimated that by 2022, half of the more than 400 stores in the WAL-MART will be upgraded to a new level, and plans to add 500 stores and cloud stores in the Chinese market in the next 5~7 years, including WAL-MART stores, community stores and Sam member stores.

In 2020, we will continue to promote fruit and vegetable direct production and purchase at the place of origin, so as to achieve direct access to stores from fields. In addition, WAL-MART has doubled its sales growth in its private brand in the past three years, and plans to achieve three fold by 2022. In the next three years, WAL-MART will also establish digital links with 80% of its customers and members. The proportion of customers and members will reach 1/3.
