Anticipation And Countermeasure Of Garment Export Enterprises In 2020

Clothing ExportForeground Anticipation

In the end of 2019, the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic was fought together with the concerted efforts of the whole nation, and the overall situation is developing in a good direction. While the domestic epidemic is gradually being controlled and the number of people diagnosed per day gradually decreases, the new crown virus has spread in more than 100 countries. Who has raised the risk of prevention to the highest level.

Like all walks of life, China's clothing industry has also been greatly affected in this epidemic. According to customs statistics, in 2020 1-2, China exported 13 billion 772 million 500 thousand US dollars in textile yarn, fabrics and products, down 19.9% compared to the same period last year. In 1-2, our export garments and accessories were 16 billion 62 million 300 thousand US dollars, down 20% compared to the same period last year.

Domestic consumption, the situation in the first 2020 months of the epidemic is grim, and for some garment enterprises, it may be just the beginning. What are we going to say about the remaining 292 days of 2020? How will clothing enterprises respond?

According to China Customs data, the total export volume of textiles and clothing in China in 2019 was 280 billion 700 million US dollars, down 1.5% from the same period last year, and the growth rate was 5.3 percentage points lower than the previous year. Textile exports amounted to US $127 billion 250 million, an increase of 1.4% over the same period last year, and clothing exports amounted to US $153 billion 450 million, a decrease of 3.7% over the same period last year.

In 2020, clothing export faced with severe foreign trade situation and many restrictive factors: first, the lack of international market demand, and the slow recovery of global economy; two, the transfer of industries and the relocation of industry orders, which are challenging China's clothing trade; three, the rising cost of domestic products; and four, the lack of effective growth points. At the same time, the new crown epidemic situation will undoubtedly exacerbate China's clothing exports. Garment export enterprises are facing severe tests. With the spread of the epidemic around the world, the demand for major textile and garment markets in the world will drop, and the affected market will not only be as simple as that of last year, but the problem of overcapacity will also become more prominent.

OEM enterprises should speed up transformation. In the post epidemic era, the consumption concept of Chinese people will change. Clothing "functional, high quality and low price" will become the standard for most consumers to choose clothes. Clothing with simple protection function and fashionable personality will become another theme of fashion. OEM enterprises should give full play to their own capacity and technological advantages, speed up the transformation from foreign trade production to domestic demand, and work hard on the output, quality and cost of single products, so as to seize the fashion market in the post epidemic era.

Rely on information technology and Internet to reconstruct production mode. Despite 40 years of development, most of the garment manufacturing enterprises are still labor-intensive, and enterprises bear heavy burden of high labor costs.

In 2018, clothing management application software company launched an intelligent terminal based on Internet for separate sewing car production, technology and monitoring management, so that enterprise managers can supervise the individual production status anytime and anywhere at any time.

At the same time, China has the most complete logistics system in the world. The 5G of "low latency and interconnection" will change people's re cognition of life style, work style and production mode, and then bring about the fourth industrial revolution.

Garment production enterprises should boldly try to make use of 5G technology, apply mature management software, rely on strong logistics system support, speed up the transformation and upgrading of enterprise informatization, restructure the management process, and on this basis, break the traditional physical space production mode, and establish a "intergrating and dispersing, fragmentation and aggregation, controllable supervision, and community processing" based on internetworking. The new mode of production is to meet the "growing material needs of the people" as its task, accelerate the transformation of enterprises, and thus reduce burdens and increase incomes.

The epidemic will accelerate the pace of China's industrial Internet cloud platform, digitalization and intelligent manufacturing. Garment enterprises, especially garment processing enterprises, face the "great changes in the past century". We should have a deep understanding of the development opportunities and technological advantages that China is facing. With the characteristics of industrial fashion, we will boldly innovate, combine tradition and fashion with 5G, accelerate the transformation from manufacturing to "intelligent manufacturing", and create the "intelligent manufacturing" terminal of the global apparel supply chain.

"Constantly updating, constantly improving, constantly denying, constantly revising and upgrading" is the prerequisite for any system to maintain healthy and sustainable development. Chinese clothing has a thousand years of clothing culture, and in the past 40 years of reform and opening up, it has adorned people's lives. The 2020 is the first year of 5G. It should also become a year of transformation and upgrading of China's garment industry.
