In March 17, 2020, Shanghai, the world's largest regenerated cellulosic fiber producer, Sai Deli, has successfully made use of waste textile wastes to produce cellulosic fibers and has large-scale commercial production capacity. The raw material for this new quality fiber comes from the post consumer textile waste dissolving pulp and PEFC certified wood pulp of S DRA DRA, Sweden.

Zhang Wentao, President of Sai Deli, said: "we are delighted to commercialize the new product, which meets the expectations of the fashion industry for more sustainable production of textile fibers. It is a new technology to regenerate textile wastes into cellulose fibers, which is very challenging. Over the past few months, our R & D team has worked hard to find a suitable balance between the production of recyclable cellulosic fiber products and maintaining high quality and achieve mass production on a 35000 ton production line. This is a huge breakthrough, which means that we are now ready and capable of expanding production to respond to market demand. This is a win-win situation for our environment and our customers.

The product is tested by two advanced technologies, namely compact spinning and vortex spinning, at the Nanjing Linz yarn factory under Sai Deli. It proves that the new fiber has good compatibility with the existing spinning technology equipment, and the yarn production is stable without adjusting the existing technology or parameters. The fiber has excellent spinning efficiency and spinnability, and the evenness and strength of the yarns are excellent.

"As a part of Singapore Golden Eagle Group, Sai Deli can receive professional support from world-class dissolving pulp production, coupled with our deep experience in the production of regenerated cellulose fiber and the spinning ability of downstream enterprises. This value chain integration will enable us to speed up the next generation of textile fiber innovation and production in a favorable position and have the ability to yarn customers and brands. Partners quickly provide quality assurance and stability products. This breakthrough is just the beginning. We look forward to providing more value and products in the future to support the development of sustainable fashion industry. " Liu Tao, vice president of sales and marketing at Sai Deli, said.

Johannes Bogren, vice president of cell biology products at S DRA, Sweden, said: "I am delighted to cooperate with Sai Deli to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for the textile industry. OnceMore of S o dra (Sweden's cable company) Gamma Technology is the world's first in terms of recycling and utilization of textile waste after the separation and consumption of blended fabrics. It has great potential in improving the recyclability and recyclability of textiles, and it can really shake and affect the future of the entire fashion industry. It is good to promote this process together with Sai deli's forward-looking partners, and hope that our cooperation will continue in the long run. "

Last October, the Golden Eagle Group of Sai Li parent company announced that it invested 200 million US dollars for the next generation of cellulose fiber innovation. This breakthrough was achieved through investment support. In addition to working with several dissolving pulp suppliers to promote technology development, Sai Li also plans to cooperate with yarn customers, garment manufacturers and fashion brands to launch new products in the coming months, and jointly promote the development of circular economy, and ultimately promote the recycling of recycled fiber to the market.
