The British luxury group Burberry (Bo Baili) said it would formulate a comprehensive strategy to combat the new crown virus epidemic.

With the brand's global supply network, more than 100 thousand medical masks will be transported to the British National Medical Service Center for medical staff.

Reorganize the windbreaker factory in Custer Ford, Yorkshire, and change to mask and protective clothing for patients. At present, production is also subject to the approval of MHRA (The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency), a drug and health care product management body.

A single dose vaccine developed by University of Oxford is expected to be used in human trials next month.

Donations to charities, including Fare Share and Felix, to address the food supply problems facing the UK, help people trapped in the epidemic, establish community production centers, and provide food for young people who rely on free school meals.

Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti said: "we are very proud to be able to help those who make selfless devotion to the fight against the disease. Although the new crown has changed our daily lives, I hope that the support provided by Burberry will somehow save more lives and inhibit the spread of the virus. I believe we can overcome the difficulties together."

Professor Gavin Screaton, director of the medical department of University of Oxford, commented: "we are very grateful to Burberry for his generous support for the new crown vaccine project of University of Oxford. The investment of Burberry is forward-looking. We can use this fund to deal with various situations flexibly and speed up this time pressing study."

In January 22nd, Burberry announced its retail sales in the third quarter of fiscal year 2019, saying that sales in Hongkong, China, fell by nearly 50% in the third quarter of this year, which was affected by the social unrest in Hongkong, China. Compared with that, sales in mainland China reached a strong double-digit growth rate, and finally promoted the growth of sales in the Asia Pacific market.

Burberry said in early February that the decline in its 2019/2020 fiscal year ending March 28, 2020 was mainly concentrated in the Asian market. But since then, sales of Burberry stores in mainland China have improved. Burberry expects that the comparable store sales in the last 2019 weeks of fiscal year March 28, 2020 will drop by 70% to 80% compared to the same period last year, which means that the overall sales in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year will drop 30% compared to the same period.
