German Trade Credit Research Shows That The European Textile Industry Is Afraid Of Cutting 150000 People
More than 150000 jobs in Europe's textile industry may not be covered by the new global epidemic, according to a study by Euler Hermes, a German trade credit insurance company.
Deutsche Presse news agency quoted the chief executive of Euler Hermes group, Ronald van Hett Hoff, as saying on the 25th, despite a number of rescue measures introduced by European countries.
According to the study, sales in Europe's textile and garment manufacturing industries could fall by 19% this year. Researchers predict that the industry's sales are expected to increase significantly next year, but it will be difficult to return to pre epidemic levels in the next few years.
More than 3.17 million new crowns have been confirmed in Europe, according to the World Health Organization on the 25th.
