Anhui: Cotton Yarn Price Difference Is Big, Sales Weakness Is A Consensus

According to the Anhui monitoring station of the national cotton market monitoring system, as of August 1, Anhui Province ended the longest plum rain season in history and ushered in sunny, hot and hot weather. However, the yarn market did not recover with the weather in August, still showing a downturn. It is highlighted that although the overall sales price of cotton yarn tends to be stable, there is a big difference in the price of varieties of the same specification. Whether it is pure cotton yarn or polyester cotton yarn, the overall sales slow down, resulting in an increase in inventory.

According to most cotton spinning mills, the sales price of most cotton yarn varieties has remained stable for half a month. The mainstream selling price of 40s count general combed cotton yarn is about 19400 yuan / ton, that of 32S count is about 18300 yuan / ton; that of 16S count polyester cotton yarn (60% Cotton + 40% polyester) is about 14900 yuan / ton, and that of 32 pairs of polyester cotton yarn (60% Cotton + 40% polyester) is about 16000 yuan / ton. However, due to the difference in yarn quality of cotton mills, the difference of lint use sources from national reserve cotton, Xinjiang cotton and foreign cotton, as well as the financial pressure of some small cotton mills, the sales price of cotton yarn with the same specification is quite different. If there are some small factories, the selling price of 40s cotton yarn has been reduced to 18800 yuan / ton, which is 500-600 yuan / ton different from the mainstream price.

The lack of cotton yarn sales is the common understanding of most cotton spinning mills on the current yarn market. According to the person in charge of a polyester cotton yarn production enterprise, from the end of July to the beginning of August, the factory realized the production of nearly 300 tons of 16S polyester and cotton yarn, but now it is no longer the scene, and has been returned to its original shape. Like other types of cotton yarn, the sales are not smooth, and the inventory is increasing day by day. As of August 13, cotton yarn inventory has reached 1.5 months production scale. Another small manufacturer of pure cotton yarn said that there were no new orders at present, only producing regular yarn, mainly relying on downstream traders to solve the sales. Shortening the shift, short-term holiday, reducing the price of shipment and other measures have become the main way to reduce cotton yarn inventory.
