Six Cotton Varieties Approved For Export To Countries Along The Belt And Road

      Recently, six cotton varieties, including cotton Institute 12, cotton Institute 49, cotton Institute 65, cotton Institute 88, cotton Institute 92 and China Cotton 113, cultivated by Cotton Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, were approved by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, and were granted import and export seed business license and customs declaration registration certificate, and allowed to export to the countries along the belt and road, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan State.

The first approval of cotton varieties for export is of great significance to the integration and development of cotton science and technology, textile and trade with Central Asian countries. It is reported that cotton is an important economic crop in countries along the belt and road, and has played an important role in the national economy of Central Asian countries for a long time. As the only National Cotton Research Institute in China, the cotton research institute actively responds to the "belt and road" initiative and vigorously implements the strategy of "technology going out and raw cotton importing". In recent years, the cooperation in cotton science and technology industry in Central Asia has been deeply promoted by building bases, sending experts and sending technology, which has made important contributions to improving the cotton production level of countries along the belt and road, and achieved remarkable results.
