Trade Agreement

On the eve of the U.S. presidential election, Brazil and the United States signed a trade agreement, including trade facilitation, regulatory reconciliation and anti-corruption, which is the concrete result of President posonaro's choice to form a strategic partnership with the United States.

According to the joint news materials of the Ministry of foreign affairs and the Ministry of economy of Brazil, the signing of the agreement aims to promote bilateral trade and investment, with the goal of creating an economic environment conducive to business activities and improving Brazil's competitiveness and integrating into the international economy.

The agreement was signed by Paulo guedes, Brazil's economic minister, Ernesto Ara ú Jo, foreign minister, and Robert Lighthizer, U.S. trade representative, through a video conference. In March this year, President posonaro visited the United States and held talks with President trump. Both sides agreed to strengthen economic and trade relations and complete the investment guarantee agreement as soon as possible.
