TaizhouTextilesOverseas Orders

From May to October, textile exports increased by 32.4% over the same period last year

"Recently, orders from overseas have continued to increase, and orders in May and June alone have caught up with orders for the majority of the year." Affected by the epidemic situation, Jiaojiang Yixin Textile Co., Ltd. once met the situation of unsalable goods. But unexpectedly, in May, foreign trade orders doubled, and Mr. Wang, the person in charge, was very surprised, "there has never been such a situation in previous years."

It is not just Yixin textile. In the second half of the year, many textile enterprises in Taizhou have experienced "export fever".

Southeast Asian textile orders transfer to China

According to the statistics of Taizhou customs, from May to October this year, the export volume of textile yarn, fabric and its products of our city reached 3.02 billion yuan, an increase of 32.4% over the same period of last year. The main textile export countries in our city are the United States, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Japan and other countries. Among them, the total amount of textile exports to the United States reached 1.01 billion yuan, accounting for one third.

"Recently, due to the epidemic situation in India, the price of cotton yarn textiles is rising, and the orders have also increased a lot. We have received a lot of transfer orders from India. On the whole, the relevant orders have increased by about 30%." Mr. Tao, who is in charge of a textile carpet company in Jinqing, Luqiao, said, "these orders should have been made in India and re exported. They may be transferred to Chinese enterprises due to the epidemic situation."

The reporter learned from the textile guide that India's textile production occupies an important position in the world. According to public information, India is the world's largest cotton and jute producer, with yarn production capacity accounting for 22% of the world. Affected by the epidemic, India's cotton processing and export, cotton gauze production and other entire industrial chain have been strongly impacted.

Mr. Wang of Jiaojiang Yixin Textile Co., Ltd. also said that in recent months, orders from some Southeast Asian countries have been transferred to China. "Some European and American customers are actively contacting us and turning their orders to Chinese production."

Trade risk and export cost increase

According to the market demand for textile, carpet and other raw materials, we also know that there are mainly textile and cotton mat supplies.

"According to the current situation, it is estimated that the orders of our enterprises will not be a problem until the end of the year, and some enterprises will even arrange for next year." Mr. Wang said that on the one hand, orders from some countries have returned. On the other hand, with the arrival of Christmas and other traditional festivals in Europe and the United States in the second half of the year, orders will continue to grow.

Although the order received "soft", Mr. Wang is still wary, "now is not what order dare to accept."

What bothers Mr. Wang is trade risks such as logistics and payment collection. According to reports, in recent months, due to the unbalanced global economic recovery, the sharp rebound of epidemic situation in many places in the world, and the arrival of the traditional transportation peak season, many ports in Europe and the United States have experienced congestion, while many domestic ports are extremely short of containers. In this case, many large shipping companies began to levy congestion charges, peak season charges, shortage charges and other surcharges.

"At present, container transportation is still relatively tight. For example, some small containers export products, and the transportation cost has increased by about 30%. In addition, the arrival period of many export goods has been prolonged, and the period for enterprises to pick up goods at the port will increase by more than one week, some even longer. " Wang said that at the same time, there are also some bad debts caused by the epidemic. "For some new customers, we mostly require 50% payment or more before we dare to deliver goods."
