On December 4, the seminar on artificial intelligence fashion and creative design was held in Keqiao Institute of fashion trend of Chinese women's clothing fabrics in Keqiao, Shaoxing. More than ten enterprise representatives from national textile product development base enterprises and Keqiao local textile enterprises participated in the activity.

Expand design width, AI brings more value space

Li Bo presided over the seminar. He said that the China Textile Information Center and the national textile product development center have long been committed to the research on the popular trend of Chinese textile fabrics, and in recent years, they have made innovative attempts in the application of artificial intelligence and visual recognition technology in the field of popular color. Since 2018, the center has cooperated with Xiaobing team to develop artificial intelligence fashion pattern design technology. Relying on the strong technical support and industry data resources support of both sides, the center has made a series of breakthroughs in the past two years.

Xu Yuanchun introduced that since 2017, Xiaobing has tried to develop artificial intelligence algorithms that simulate human creativity, and has made breakthroughs in poetry, music, art, etc. He said that China's textile industry is a labor-intensive, capital intensive and risk intensive industry. In terms of high added value and profit margin of products, China's textile industry needs to explore more improvement paths with the help of science and technology. The application of artificial intelligence "potential" is the stage that the industry economy is moving from large-scale production to personalized customization. Consumers have higher and higher demand for design, beauty and personalization. Driven by the trend of consumption upgrading and industrial upgrading, enterprises need to incline to the field of design and intelligent technology, so as to enhance the design ability and expand the design width with artificial intelligence with full network data and special functions, so as to obtain diversified product competitiveness and value improvement space.

Cao Xiaowen, creative director of fashion Intelligence Department of China Textile Information Center, said that based on the problems encountered by fabric enterprises and clothing brands in the pattern design process, the confidence center and Xiaobing company have built an artificial intelligence pattern design platform. She said that the platform is composed of four creative structures and management tools: trend pattern, show direct attack, brand observation and AI design. Among them, popular trend prediction system, artificial intelligence emotional calculation and visual recognition technology are grafted. On the other hand, it can solve the problem of designers' creative design quickly and effectively through the design of a large number of creative solutions. Taking the cooperation between Information Center, Xiaobing and Lufeng weaving and dyeing as an example, she elaborated the important role and great advantages of artificial intelligence in customized design.

Zhang Lingling, product manager of Xiaobing company, pointed out that through the research and development of pattern design products and technology, Xiaobing company generated simple structural graphics from the early generation of 1.0, and completed the deep network algorithm iteration to 5.0. Through constant communication with enterprises, Xiaobing understands the design capabilities that enterprises need. She said that Xiaobing's technological advancement lies in endless deep learning through emotional calculation and deep mining of intention. Enhance design depth, AI brings more exciting possibilities

In the discussion of textile pattern design requirements, Xiaobing team and Keqiao local textile and garment enterprises discussed how to integrate product development with artificial intelligence technology.

Ding Jihui, director of fabric design of Lufeng textile and dyeing Co., Ltd., said at the meeting that the company's design and development process includes four stages: material collection, development trend summary of strategic customers, feedback of regional promotion of business personnel, and promotion of independent research and development of new products. Among them, the application of big data analysis helps the company to form a relatively high work efficiency from the determination of ideas, design patterns, colors to the determination of technology. For the extent to which intelligent technology can be achieved, he hopes that the upper body effect of fabrics with corresponding patterns can be directly presented in front of customers through artificial intelligence, and the production process can be arranged and observed as long as orders are placed online. He also stressed the need to incorporate more personalized elements into the pattern design.

Lu Jianping, chairman of Haining Tianyi Textile Co., Ltd., believes that in the field of jacquard, it is hoped that artificial intelligence can be extended to the design of organizational structure, so that enterprises only need to cultivate aesthetic talents. Jacquard involves complex procedures such as yarn organization process. The conventional fixed format is relatively small, which consumes a lot of manpower. If the machine can learn different yarn and match different organization, the enterprise provides parameters and practices, which will solve the biggest pain point of the enterprise.

Whether artificial intelligence can meet the standards in pattern quality and organizational structure, Ding Yuanyuan, deputy general manager of marketing & R & D center of Dali silk (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., thinks that there is a big difference between jacquard and printing, and jacquard must require high-definition vector map for pattern. For jacquard, based on the limitation of yarn, more patterns mean more yarn colors, which will inevitably increase the thickness of fabric and combine with the application season. If artificial intelligence is applied to this aspect, it needs an input of organization structure to form organization chain library.

Shao Lingbin, general manager of Zhejiang Dashu Textile Technology Co., Ltd., said that AI gathers colors through analysis function, conducts trend research, completes color matching, ensures digitalization of subsequent sales, and complements labor and AI. It is hoped that Xiaobing team can design a pattern design software superior to the market for designers to use. Through data integration, the late search for pictures, 3D display and pattern ordering will be better and better.

As for Xiaobing's learning ability and data storage, Fu Guoqing, chairman of Shaoxing Yongsheng industry and Trade Co., Ltd., points out that the actual demand of customers for flower patterns is often one from a thousand miles, and the demand for brands is also very different. On the one hand, artificial intelligence technology should not only have massive information reserves, but also be able to meet the needs of the market and provide personalized solutions quickly.

Ma Tingfang, general manager of wanshili Silk Technology Co., Ltd., said that enterprises mainly focus on personalized design for small batch production, so artificial intelligence is very useful. How to combine designers and AI is a very important link, so that patterns can quickly spread to consumers. A pattern is only used once, so that the real advantages of artificial intelligence can be brought into play. Innovation must standardize all links, and then variables after standardization, so that AI can do better and better.

When it comes to the demand for intelligent management of clothing brands, Evely planning designer Gao Siyun points out that there are five brands under Evely, and designers have a lot of work to do. For clothing brands, the accuracy of printing determines the tonality of brand style. For clothing brands, now popular sustainable development, as well as environmental protection concept to promote hand-painted, can AI be completed with a sense of temperature? As a clothing brand, enterprises hope to use the intelligent management development mode to realize the continuity of the concept of serialization from pattern development to clothing production.

Bian Shunchao, general manager assistant of Hangzhou Haijia cloth art Co., Ltd., said that the company mainly makes Jacquard Home textile fabrics, and the main colors released by sand are rice white, cream yellow and rice gray. Too many jumping colors will not be selected, so they will not carry out mass production. In terms of customization, if the artificial intelligence software is involved, the enterprise will still transform according to its own operation.

Menzheng, the product manager of Xiaobing company, pointed out that the application after design should be paid attention to. After printing, color difference, grid image display, 3D presentation, regional contour, etc. should be considered. At the same time, due to different factors such as age, season and market, the production process is also different. If using intelligent software, color separation needs to be focused on.

AI creates more Implementation Paths

Fang Meili said that the "modern textile Jianhu laboratory" was launched in Keqiao on December 3, and the "artificial intelligence fashion and creative design Seminar" was held in Keqiao the next day. The two projects are essentially interlinked. She pointed out that textile is not only a traditional industry but also a high-tech industry. Keqiao has a large number of high-tech enterprises, which urgently need to further promote the development of industrial Internet. First, artificial intelligence technology is not in place in the cross-border integration with the industry; second, enterprises are still worried about the protection of intellectual property rights. In recent years, Keqiao government has made a lot of efforts in the protection of intellectual property rights, constantly improving and improving the management means to promote the digital development of the industry. As for the "obsession" of promoting the integration of artificial intelligence and industry, she said that it is mainly based on two aspects: first, China's textile industry has the advantages of strong industrial scale, rich data resources and broad application scenarios; second, China has become the global leader in the field of artificial intelligence only after the United States by virtue of its advantages in data and language. Based on these two absolute comparative advantages, the development of artificial intelligence will be an indispensable key variable in the construction of China's textile power.
