Uzbekistan's Ministry of investment and foreign trade announced recently that the European Commission passed a resolution in advance on November 30 to approve Uzbekistan's application for super generalized system of preferences (GSP +).

The European Commission made the above decision after reviewing the implementation of 27 international conventions on human rights protection, labor standards and environmental protection in Uzbekistan. It is reported that European Commission President von der lain has signed relevant documents. In the future, the issue will be submitted to the European Council and the European Parliament for examination and approval. After the examination and approval, Uzbekistan has unilaterally obtained preferential export tariff policies to the EU, increasing the number of duty-free exports of Uzbekistan to the EU to 6200, twice the current level.

At present, Uzbekistan enjoys the treatment of GSP to EU, 3000 kinds of goods are exported free of tariff, and 3200 kinds of goods are exported with low tariff.
