On the morning of January 18, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the preparations for the Winter Olympic Games and the winter Paralympic Games in Beijing. Liu Li, Professor of Beijing Institute of fashion, led the scientific research team to undertake the key research and development technology of high performance clothing for winter sports and training competition, which is the key research and development project of national key research and development program of "science and technology Winter Olympics", which embodies the static display of the phased achievements of "fast, protect, warm and beautiful", and designed and produced for the performance of "I and the motherland" of the national figure skating team, which was accepted by General Secretary Xi Jinping here Review.

As a scientific research representative, Liu Li, together with the athletes and coaches of the national figure skating team and the short track speed skating team, listened to the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping. The general secretary stressed that scientific and technological means should be used to promote the level of training and preparation for war. Beijing Institute of fashion is able to participate in the key technology research and development project of high-performance clothing in winter sports and training competition, which is based on the school's school running characteristics of "Arts and crafts integration".

In 2019, Liu Li led the scientific research team to be approved as the key project of the national key R & D plan "key technology for high performance clothing research and development in winter sports and training competition" of "scientific and technological Winter Olympics". Beifu team, as the leading unit, cooperates with 6 universities and 4 enterprises to jointly tackle key problems. The research content involves six disciplines: Textile Science and engineering, clothing design and engineering, mechanical engineering (Tribology), thermophysics, biomechanics, and sports science, so as to solve the problem of "fast, protect, warm and beautiful" Four key technical issues, to achieve four types of product innovation of competitive sports clothing, protective materials and equipment, low temperature support materials and Clothing skills.

The Beijing Winter Olympic Games is an important landmark activity of China's important historical node, and its preparatory work has also attracted the attention of various media. In an interview with media reporters, Liu Li said that the general secretary saw that everyone had done their best, the preparatory work was progressing smoothly, and the effect of training and preparation was obvious. He said that he was full of confidence in the success of this grand meeting.

Liu Li said that the research team mainly solved the four key technical problems of "fast, protection, warmth and beauty" in the research and development of clothing design in preparation for the Winter Olympics.

Come on

It is aimed at the comprehensive drag reduction problem of short track speed skating and alpine skiing. In this paper, the mechanism of cross scale collaborative drag reduction of winter sports racing clothing under the condition of multi parameter coupling is solved. "For athletes, 0.01 second is very important and may get a medal.". A number of training clothes were displayed in the capital gymnasium, and the latest speed skating racing clothes were exhibited for the first time. 56 kinds of competition clothing structures and 122 kinds of drag reducing fabrics were tested in wind tunnel, and were designed according to the body shape, technical and tactical characteristics of Chinese athletes. The comprehensive resistance of alpine skiing clothing at the wind speed of 32m / S is significantly better than that of advanced countries.

Protect

It involves the protective performance of clothing equipment in the process of training and competition. Winter sports are characterized by high speed, complex environment, and high risk of injury for athletes. There are mainly two types of injuries: collision and stabbing. Several R & D units jointly tackle this issue. In the competition equipment displayed, the alpine skiing training protective clothing adopts a new column array anti impact structure and a new type of energy absorbing and cushioning material, which is customized for athletes. It can effectively protect the high mountain skiers from the whipping injury when crossing the flag gate. In short track speed, anti cutting fabric is used to protect the athletes' body, and muscle compression and drag reduction are considered.

Warm

It is the general demand of winter project. On January 6, this year, Chongli training base reached the lowest temperature ever recorded in 1966 - 32 degrees below zero. The body temperature was lower, which seriously affected the training of athletes. "Warm" is used for all winter events. According to Liu Li, there are mainly two ways: one is to improve the fiber warmth retention rate; the other is to use intelligent active heating technology to convert electrical energy into heat. In the equipment displayed, the "fortress" comprehensive heat preservation system integrates windproof, waterproof, breathable, wear-resistant and high-efficiency thermal insulation. The equipment includes active electric heating face protection, vest, gloves, socks and cushion. It can work continuously for more than 180 minutes at - 30 degrees to protect human body in an all-round way.

Beauty

There are four figure skating suits on display. Each piece of clothing is customized according to the music theme, dance design, integration of clothing advanced customization elements and body size of athletes. At present, we are exploring the integration of Chinese traditional techniques, fully convey Chinese culture and show the "four confidence".

At present, Liu Li's team has provided competition clothes for 22 key athletes of double skating, men's singles, women's singles and ice dance events of the national figure skating (training) team for three consecutive seasons, with 424 sets of design schemes, 70 sets of competition clothes and 99 sets of performance clothes, which helped to win 18 medals (including gold medals) in many world-class competitions. In 2019, it was awarded "best cost" in golden skiing, the largest international mainstream flower skating forum.

Sui Wenjing and Han Cong won the double skating champion of the 2019 World Figure Skating Championships. The competition costume was designed by Beifu research team.  

"My motherland" figure skating performance costume is designed and produced by Beifu research team. On January 18, General Secretary Xi Jinping watched the performance at the capital gymnasium.  

Being able to report Beifu's scientific and technological achievements to the general secretary on the platform of the Winter Olympic Games is a concentrated reflection of the school running level of Beifu in recent years and an opportunity given to us by history. Beifu, as the leading unit, will continue to work with excellent scientific research institutions and enterprises to help 2022 Winter Olympic Games and serve the national team well.
