In January 2021, Vietnam exported 2.661 billion US dollars of textile and clothing, with a month on month increase of 5.69% and a year-on-year increase of 7.71%; the export of yarn was 164500 tons, with a month on month increase of 48.52% and a year-on-year increase of 52.51%.

In January 2021, Vietnam imported 123500 tons of cotton, a month on month decrease of 3.98%, a year-on-year increase of 52.41%; a 123500 tons of imported yarn, a month on month increase of 8.94%, a year-on-year increase of 69.26%; imports of fabrics $1.108 billion, a month on month decrease of 9.96%, a year-on-year increase of 30.29%.
