Shanghai, March 26, Xinhua News Agency reported on March 26 that the Shanghai Representative Office of Swiss good cotton Development Association (BCI) issued a statement on the evening of 26, saying that it had never found a case of forced labor in Xinjiang and would continue to maintain communication with Xinjiang's implementing partners.

Recently, H & M and other brands' boycott of Xinjiang cotton has aroused widespread public concern. The "basis" of the boycott is the so-called Xinjiang forced labor theory by Swiss good cotton Development Association (BCI).

In response, BCI Shanghai Representative Office said that the project team in China strictly followed the audit principles and carried out the second-party credibility audit and third-party verification for Xinjiang project sites since 2012. It has never found any case of forced labor, and will continue to maintain communication with Xinjiang implementation partners to jointly maintain the sustainable development of the supply chain 。

The Chinese team of the association also said that it would actively support the formulation of China's Cotton Sustainable standards by relevant national departments and contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of China's cotton industry.
