Ministry Of Commerce: Retail Sales In Hungary Increased By 11.1% In May

According to statistics released by the Central Bureau of statistics of Hungary, retail sales in Hungary increased by 11.1% year-on-year in May, reaching 1435 billion Hungarian forints (at current prices). Among them, the sales of food and food businesses increased by 3.0%, the sales of non food retail businesses increased by 9.5%, and the retail sales of fuel increased by 37.5%, 35% retail sales of textiles, clothing and footwear Retail sales of pharmaceuticals, medical products and perfume were 12%, while those of online shopping decreased by 1.4%.

From January to May this year, retail sales in Hungary increased by 11.6% compared with the same period last year.
