Cameroon Expected

According to the economic forecast recently released by the Central African Central Bank (beac), Kazakhstan should not be able to benefit from the recent rise in world cotton prices, according to the economic forecast released by the Central African Central Bank (beac). The main reason is that with the end of the cotton production year in 2021-2022, the cotton output in the third quarter of 2022 is expected to decrease, and the finished product inventory will decrease significantly.

Despite this cyclical reality, cotton production in Khartoum is still at a record high this year. According to sodecoton, the total cotton production in 2021-2022 will reach about 370000 tons, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year and an increase of 13000 tons. This new production record brings it closer to the target of producing more than 400000 tons by 2025.

In addition, sodecoton has been increasing investment in cotton processing. In March 2021, sodecoton began to build its 10th ginning plant in Gouna in the northern region, and the project of constructing a cottonseed oil plant in ngondalay city has also made progress.
