In recent years, both the textile industry and the textile machinery enterprises have shown a strong "outward" willingness, from enterprises to participate in exhibitions and investigate the market independently, to the "order grabbing" of enterprises chartered by local governments, and to the cross-border industrial chain layout of enterprises with abundant capital.

At present, what is the increment of overseas market? How can textile machinery enterprises efficiently "go out to sea"?

Our magazine, together with China Textile Foreign Corporation, jointly create a column of "ctmtc's strategy for going abroad", share overseas market information, analyze the demand for high experience value, and open up trade platform for cooperation and sharing, so as to provide strong support for textile machinery enterprises to expand outward!

India is the world's largest producer of cotton and jute, and the second largest producer of chemical fibers and silk. Textile and related industries play an important role in India's industrial system, with complete industrial chain and highly diversified industries.

Ctmtc entered the Indian market in 2000 and has established sales channels and experienced after-sales service teams in many places. In 2006, ctmtc set up an office and after-sales service center in goinbaitor, and jointly established an Indian after-sales service company with local partners in New Delhi.

In recent years, India's economic development momentum is strong, and has been among the top ten fastest growing economies for many years. In 2021, India's GDP will reach 3.08 trillion US dollars, ranking sixth in the world. Over the years, there have been frequent economic and trade exchanges between China and India. In 2020, the total trade volume of goods between China and India will be 87.59 billion US dollars. During the same period, China's direct investment flow to India will reach 200 million US dollars, and the investment stock will exceed 3.1 billion US dollars.

   Textile industry

India is the second largest textile manufacturing country in the world after China. The contribution rate of textile and clothing industry to India's GDP is 2.3%, accounting for 7% of industrial output value. There are about 45 million employees in the industry.

India's spinning industry is highly developed, and enterprises pursue high-speed and high-yield. Pure cotton yarn is mainly produced in the southern region, while polyester cotton blended yarn and color spinning are mainly used in the north. At present, India has about 51 million ring spinning spindles and 900000 rotor spinning units. In the fiscal year 2021-2022, Indian yarn production is 6.35 million tons, including 4.762 million tons of cotton yarn.

India has always been an important market for China's textile machinery export.

India's textile and clothing trade accounts for 5% of the world's textile and clothing trade, and is the sixth largest textile and clothing exporter in the world. In the fiscal year 2021-2022, India exported 44.4 billion US dollars of textiles and clothing products, including 12 billion US dollars for clothing and ready-made garments, 4.8 billion US dollars for home textiles, 4.0 billion US dollars for fabrics, 3.8 billion US dollars for yarns and 1.8 billion US dollars for fibers. Cotton textiles accounted for 38.7% of the total exports. At present, the Indian government has launched the large-scale integrated textile regional and industrial park program (MITRA), which will establish seven large-scale textile industrial parks within three years, covering all major areas of India's textile industry.

   Textile machinery equipment

The spinning equipment in India has been basically localized. The market share of local brand LMW spinning equipment is very high, which is mainly suitable for ne30 and NE40 yarns. The spinning speed of spinning frame is more than 20000 rpm. At the same time, India's spinning is developing into different varieties such as polyester cotton and polyester viscose blended yarn, gradually reducing the proportion of pure cotton yarn.

India's shuttle industry has basically completed the upgrading from shuttleless to shuttleless, and a large number of shuttle looms have been replaced by high-speed rapier looms and air-jet looms. The effect of knitting industry cluster is obvious, forming the industrial cluster with Tirupur in the South and Ludhiana in the north as the center.

In dyeing, finishing and finishing industry, due to environmental protection requirements, enterprises tend to buy water-saving and environmental protection printing and finishing equipment. In terms of region, the southern region is mainly concentrated in Tirupur region, mainly knitted fabrics, mostly using equipment produced in Europe and China. Western Gujarat is mainly made of denim and other woven fabrics, and most of them use local production equipment.

Ctmtc has established sales channels in many places in India.

In the chemical fiber field, the production capacity of polyester filament is mainly concentrated in Silvassa region, and the production capacity of direct spinning polyester staple fiber is highly concentrated in several leading enterprises. Among them, reliance company of India occupies a monopoly position in melt direct spinning of polyester filament and polyester staple fiber. In recent years, India has introduced a number of supporting policies for the recycling of raw materials, and the recycled spinning polyester filament and staple fiber projects are favored by local investors.

Nonwovens are the key development areas of Indian textile industry, but the current industrial system is not complete. The products are mainly non-woven products with low added value, such as single die spunbonded nonwovens. In recent years, it is gradually transforming to the direction of high technology and high added value. There are many high-performance Spunlaced production lines, multi-mode head spinning and melting production lines and other landing non-woven fabric production enterprises, with great development potential.

The Indian market is large and the competition is fierce. If Chinese textile machinery enterprises want to occupy a place, they can take a differentiated route and provide customized solutions according to the different needs of customers.
