The reporter learned from the press conference of the 5th China International Import Expo held on January 1 that 145 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the fair, and 284 world top 500 enterprises and industry leaders participated in the business exhibition.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director of the China International Import and Exhibition Bureau, said that enterprises from 127 countries and regions will appear in the fifth ICIF enterprise business exhibition, and 66 countries and 3 international organizations will appear in the national comprehensive exhibition, all exceeding the previous one. Enterprises from the member countries of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP) have participated in the exhibition, and the number of countries along the belt and road and the SCO participating countries has also increased compared with the last one. Meanwhile, eight countries, including Nicaragua, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, Mozambique, Congo (DRC), Iraq and Iceland, will participate in the National Exhibition for the first time.

At the same time, the exhibition content of this Expo is more abundant, new crop seed industry zone and artificial intelligence zone are set up, and energy low-carbon and environmental protection technology zone are optimized. A comprehensive exhibition area of "China's ten years - achievements of opening up" has been set up to comprehensively display the brilliant achievements of China's opening up in the new era.

This year, 284 of the world's top 500 companies and industry leaders participated in the business fair, more than the last one, Sun said. The six exhibition areas will display hundreds of new products, new technologies and new services, including consumer goods and agricultural products focusing on a better life, as well as all kinds of high-end medical equipment and equipment with global leading technology. The proportion of specially decorated booths reached 96.1%, which was higher than that of last year.

The theme of this year's Hongqiao International Economic Forum will be "stimulating new driving forces of global opening-up and sharing new opportunities for cooperation and development". It will be divided into three parts: "opening and sharing", "opening and co governance" and "opening and sharing". The high-level forum of "RCEP and higher level opening" will be held.
