Contest content: 1. Fashion design effect map audition, 2. Theoretical knowledge contest, 3. Manual practical operation contest, 4. Design work ready to wear display. All four items are completed by the contestants independently. The ranking is determined by the comprehensive results. This event is based on the general requirements of national clothing professional and technical talents training, combined with the requirements of modern clothing enterprises for scientific and technological development and technological innovation, centered on the core skills of clothing design and process, and focused on the comprehensive professional ability of the players, so as to better explore and innovate new technologies for the development of local industries Skilled talents and technical support. The competition started in October 2022, and more than 120 garment designers from all provinces and cities across the country signed up. After the preliminary and second round competitions, 20 costume designers entered the final. All works entering the finals are based on“ Inheritance and innovation+modeling ability+effect expression ”As the theme, each designer at the competition site explained the design inspiration, ideas and emotional meaning of the works. The entries are handed down from generation to generation and protected from time to time. It not only expresses the century old cultural heritage of cheongsam integrating practicality, fashion and artistry, but also shows the unique craftsmanship and cultural connotation of Chinese cheongsam. At the same time, it highlights the eternal charm of Chinese cheongsam culture, stimulates its contemporary value, and makes it bloom in the world stage.

The inspiration for the pattern comes from "China's excellent traditional culture": the giant dragon coiled and guarded on the land of the motherland, the Wanzi Brocade "means beautiful mountains and rivers, lasting for thousands of generations", and it also implies the childlike feelings of cheongsam people who "have a beautiful chest, and care about their family and country". "The sun and the moon shine together" and "the Great Wall of China": they live together in the vast universe, telling the story of China's vast territory, prosperity, and coexistence with the sun and the moon. The three cheongsam gowns in the competition used the current popular blue and blue, the graphic printing presented the auspicious and festive atmosphere of "lion rolling embroidery ball", and the embroidery decorated lion and embroidery ball, highlighting the theme of the meaning of lion and embroidery ball. At the same time, hydrangea is a very representative auspicious props of marriage customs in Guangxi, which embodies the folk feelings of "good things come again and again" and strengthens the auspicious culture of "the lion rolls the hydrangea, and gets richer and richer". The pattern of one cheongsam is a big lion and two small lions, which is the traditional "too lion and less lion" shape in ancient times, implying prosperity and good luck for children.

The creative points of the work design are as follows: First, the dynamic performance of folk wedding is transformed into the static cheongsam pattern, and national feelings and folk customs are integrated into the cheongsam design, so that the wedding cheongsam has more national characteristics, folk customs and folk customs. On the basis of the original traditional cheongsam style, combined with sleeve type, hem, placket and other design elements, create a new wedding cheongsam with modern aesthetics. The graphic design of the lion rolling embroidery ball in the entries adds ribbon elements, which not only contains the life from generation to generation, but also hopes that our clothing culture will be passed on from generation to generation.
