Nike Released The First Smart Basketball Shoes Available For Mobile Phones To Control Tightness.
Since the launch of the first automatic lacing multi-functional sneaker Nike Hyper Adapt 1 in 2016, last Tuesday, the American sportswear giant Nike released the first intelligent app shoe Nike Adapt BB available for mobile phone app to control automatic lacing and on-demand tightness.
The sneakers are equipped with Nike's advanced adaptive solution Nike Adapt.
This technology uses advanced automatic lacing system to combine mobile phone app and hardware modules, and improves the adaptability of the shoes to a new height, so as to solve the athletes' demands for "ideal fit" of the shoes.
When the player wears Nike Adapt BB, the specially built lacing motor automatically senses the fitting degree of the feet, and adjusts to the appropriate tightness. The tensile strength of the binding line at the foot is about equal to the strength of the ordinary parachute pull rope, which is sufficient to ensure that the feet can get enough package performance in different mobile modes.
Next, the Fit Adapt technology will start to play its role.
By manually clicking the button on the bottom of the sneaker or using the Nike Adapt App on the smart phone, the athlete can adjust the different attachment requirements of the shoes at different times.
In subsequent functions, players can even set specific tightness for warm-up sessions.
Nike Adapt BB also has a wireless charging function, equipped with a charging pad, which can normally be charged once every 10 to 14 days.
Nike innovation vice president and creative director Eri cAvar said: "we chose to take the lead in applying Nike Adapt technology to basketball, because basketball players have a complex demand for the performance of their shoes."
According to Nike, the birth of Nike Adapt BB has undergone a series of rigorous tests, including impact testing, extreme temperature testing, and tens of thousands of wearable cycle tests, as well as the simulation of the sweat tests on the feet.
In addition, athletes can get more precise fit and continuous updating of digital service experience in the future.
In the long run, the Nike Adapt platform will ultimately aim to create products that allow users to share activity data with Nike in order to get personalized advice and new product and service recommendations.
The price of Nike Adap tBB will be $350, which will be sold during the February 17th NBA all star game, when Nike Adapt App will also be synchronized.
Nike also plans to expand the technology to other sports and lifestyle products outside basketball later this year.
