On August 9th, according to the website of the National Bureau of statistics, consumer prices rose by 2.8% over the same period in July 2019. Among them, cities rose 2.7%, rural areas rose 2.9%, food prices rose 9.1%, and non food prices rose by 1.3%.

Consumer prices rose by 3.4%, and service prices rose by 1.8%. During the 1-7 months, the national average consumption price increased by 2.3% over the same period last year.

In July, the national consumer price rose by 0.4%. Among them, cities rose 0.4%, rural areas rose 0.3%, food prices rose 0.9%, non food prices rose 0.3%, consumer goods prices rose 0.2%, and service prices rose 0.7%.

It is reported that in July, the price of food, tobacco and alcohol rose by 6.7% compared to the same period last year, affecting the CPI (consumer price index) by an increase of about 1.95 percentage points. Among them, fresh fruit prices rose 39.1%, affecting CPI rose by about 0.63 percentage points, livestock and meat prices rose 18.2%, affecting CPI rose by 0.75 percentage points (pork prices rose 27%, affecting CPI rose by 0.59 percentage points); egg prices rose 11.4%, affecting CPI rose by 0.06 percentage points; poultry prices rose 7.6%, affecting CPI rose by about 0.09 percentage points; vegetable prices rose 5.2%, affecting CPI rose by about percentage points; grain prices rose, affecting CPI rose by about percentage points.

In addition, the other seven categories of prices rose six over the same period. Other items and services, health care, education, culture and entertainment prices rose by 3.4%, 2.6% and 2.3% respectively, while clothing, housing, daily necessities and services prices rose by 1.8%, 1.5% and 0.8% respectively, while traffic and communications prices fell 2.1%.

It is understood that in July, the price of food, tobacco and liquor rose by 0.7%, affecting CPI's rise of about 0.20 percentage points. Among them, egg prices rose 5%, affecting CPI rose by about 0.03 percentage points, livestock and meat prices rose 4.9%, affecting CPI rose by 0.22 percentage points (pork prices rose 7.8%, affecting CPI rose by 0.20 percentage points); fresh vegetable prices rose 2.6%, affecting CPI rose about 0.06 points; poultry prices rose 0.5%, affecting the CPI rose by 0.01 percentage points; aquatic products prices 0.4%, affecting CPI rose by about percentage points; fresh fruit prices fell, the impact of CPI fell by about a percentage point.

At the same time, the other seven categories of prices rose by six. Among them, the prices of educational culture and entertainment, other articles and services, medical and health care increased by 1.3%, 0.9% and 0.2% respectively, while the prices of living, daily necessities and services, transportation and communications rose by 0.1%, while the price of clothing decreased by 0.4%.
