According to the situation provided by Vietnam cotton yarn Association, Vietnam imported 94 thousand and 600 tons of cotton in September this year, a decrease of 8% in the ring ratio, and 1 million 140 thousand tons in cotton imports in 1-9 months, a decrease of 8.3% over the same period last year. In September, the import volume of yarn was 95 thousand and 300 tons, an increase of 0.1%, and the total import volume of 816 thousand and 700 tons in 1-9 months, an increase of 7.2% over the same period last year.

In September this year, Vietnam exported 142 thousand and 600 tons of yarn, down 4.5% from the same period last year, and exported 1 million 239 thousand and 300 tons in 1-9 months, an increase of 13.3% over the same period last year.

In September, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports amounted to 3 billion 510 million US dollars, a decrease of 11.4% compared to the same period, an increase of 10.2% over the same period last year. The cumulative export volume in 1-9 months was US $29 billion 780 million, an increase of 9.2% over the same period last year, reaching 75% of the annual plan.

In September, Vietnam's textile and textile exports amounted to $302 million, a decrease of 15.4% compared to the same period, a decrease of 3% over the same period last year. The cumulative export volume in 1-9 months was US $3 billion 50 million, up 2% from the same period last year, far below the 13.9% in the same period last year.

In September, Vietnam's clothing exports amounted to $3 billion, a decrease of 11%, an increase of 11.6% over the same period last year, and a cumulative export volume of 24 billion 700 million US dollars in 1-9 months, up 10.4% over the same period last year, lower than the 16.5% increase in the same period last year.

The slowdown in Vietnam's textile and clothing exports in the 1-9 months of this year is mainly due to slower growth in demand in major consumer countries and uncertainty in the Sino US trade war, which has a great impact on the psychology of importers. However, as domestic textile production and import are closely related, exports of textiles and clothing still show a positive growth momentum, and Vietnam's dependence on imports is rapidly declining.

According to the current export growth rate, Vietnam's textiles and clothing will be able to achieve the target of US $40 billion in 2019, that is to say, the average export volume will reach US $3 billion 400 million in the fourth quarter, of which clothing exports will be US $2 billion 890 million, which is 5% higher than the average in the first 9 months.
