In November 1st, a forum on textile industry university research cooperation for safety and protection was held in Nantong, Jiangsu. Nearly 200 participants in the industry participated.

Xu Xinmin, vice mayor of Nantong Municipal People's government, said in his speech that the high-end textile industry is one of the three major pillar industries in Nantong's "13th Five-Year" development. Shi Weidong, President of Nantong University, introduced the current research system of Nantong University at his address. He said that the textile School of Nantong University has six undergraduate majors, including textile engineering, light chemical engineering, nonwoven materials and engineering, fashion design and engineering, clothing and costume design and performance. In terms of research and development of textiles for safety protection, the national science and technology innovation platform for research and development, the National Joint Research Center for research and development of special fiber composite materials for safety protection, focuses on 6 aspects: nuclear and biochemical protection, high-performance fiber composite materials, radiation protection high-performance fiber composite materials, bullet proof and mechanical damage resistant high-performance fiber composites, thermal protection high performance fiber composite materials, medical protective high-performance fiber composites and wearable intelligent high-performance fiber composite materials. The whole chain innovative design is carried out from basic research, applied research, product development, achievement transformation and industrialization to solve major common technical problems in the development of textile, emergency protection and other related industries.

Li Lingshen, vice president of China Federation of textile industry and President of China Industrial Textiles Association, said that in recent years, China's textile industry has achieved rapid development in science and technology, running from running to running, and running to some fields. Fitlon fiber has low thermal conductivity, good flame retardancy, excellent UV resistance and heat oxidation resistance. It can be used in professional field protection, such as forest fire prevention clothing, fire fighting clothing, and chemical, metallurgical, thermal power generation, geological, mining and nuclear industry and other professional protection.

Yuan Guoqiu, Professor of Nantong University, associate professor Liu Qixia, Long Xiaoyun, Cao Haijian and Yan Xuefeng respectively introduced the development and application of Shi Moji heterostructure materials, high-performance bioprotective materials, carbon / magnetic composite flexible wave absorbing nonwoven materials, bulletproof and mechanical damage textiles, cutting injury protective textile materials. These topics rely on the research and development of the national special local fiber joint Engineering Research Center for safety protection, and have made landmark achievements, and have been affirmed by participating enterprises.
