The official website of the European Commission November 12th. On the same day, the European Commission sent a preliminary report to the Kampuchea authorities to summarize the results of the suspension of all trade preferences other than arms (EBA) launched by Kampuchea in February 2019. The purpose of the survey is to address concerns about human rights and labour rights in Kampuchea. Although the EU is still committed to working with the Kampuchea authorities, it still requires Kampuchea to make practical and credible improvements on the issues concerned so as not to withdraw the EU's preferential trade measures to Kampuchea. Kampuchea needs to respond to the EU's investigation report within 1 months. The European Union will make final decision on whether to temporarily cancel Kampuchea's tariff preferences in February 2020. At present, Kampuchea is the second most benefiting country of EBA. In 2018, the European Union imported 5 billion 300 million euros from Kampuchea, and 95% of the goods entered the EBA exemption, of which clothing and textiles accounted for about 3/4 (4 billion euros).
