Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, as the main body of the project, has co operated with the Dunhuang Research Institute, the British crown prince's foundation Academy of traditional arts, and the three Dunhuang cultural promotion foundation. In the process of project implementation, the party's nineteen guiding thoughts on the inheritance and innovation of Chinese excellent traditional culture have been fully implemented, so as to grasp the correct direction, meticulously organize, guarantee the quality of training, and spread the dress and adornment. It is a scientific training system that integrates theoretical study, on-the-spot investigation and design practice.

The project recruited 30 excellent students from 13 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. The students had good professional foundation, high educational level and strong professional ability, which provided professional level guarantee for the smooth development of the project.

In order to ensure the quality and academic level of the training, apart from inviting the high-level teachers to teach, the project group also invited 30 well-known experts and scholars from the Dunhuang Research Institute, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, the British crown prince's Foundation College of traditional arts, the the Imperial Palace Museum and the Chinese Academy of social sciences. The teachers are conscientious and responsible, preaching, and giving lectures, answering questions, solving problems, designing and directing, exchanging and interacting from the history and culture of Dunhuang, the history of Dunhuang art, the clothing culture of the past dynasties, the inheritance and design innovation of traditional clothing, etc., laying a solid foundation for students to accumulate and design innovation.

In addition, the project group also arranged for students to go to Dunhuang for a 10 day field trip and practical teaching, so that the participants could get a deeper understanding of the historical connotation and artistic characteristics of Dunhuang's clothing culture and art, and guide students to learn from their predecessors' learning results, find inspiration for design and develop design ideas on the basis of understanding, and carry out new era innovation on the basis of inheritance. Practice.

This activity is presented by the 30 trainees under the careful guidance of the project team, in-depth study of theoretical depth to design details according to the development and needs of the new era, and more than 100 pieces of costume design and research and development works and more than 30 paintings. The inspiration of the works came from Dunhuang murals and painted sculpture. Some of them drew colorful colors of Dunhuang, and some of them drew rich decorative Dunhuang shapes. Some of them drew deep and meaningful storylines from murals, reflecting contemporary designers' learning and thinking of traditional art forms and connotations.

The form of the work is rich and varied, including clothing, jewelry, scarves, bags, wall hanging, fans and other types, and printing, dyeing, embroidery, weaving, carving, buttons, beads and other techniques to carry out flat and three-dimensional display, so that the ancient Dunhuang art elements in the fashion of the current vibrant vitality, for the creative transformation and innovative development of Dunhuang's clothing culture has made a useful exploration. 。

After the show, the students showed the design ideas and details of their works to the reporters, showing the respect and love of contemporary designers for Dunhuang culture, and the diversified thinking of inheriting Dunhuang culture and using Dunhuang culture.
