Three key points to stabilize foreign trade

Looking back at the first half of this year, Zhang Bin, deputy director of the foreign trade department of the Ministry of Commerce, said that China's foreign trade effectively helped stabilize the macro-economic market, stabilize employment and protect people's livelihood. In the first half of this year, net exports of goods and services boosted economic growth by 0.9 percentage points, with a contribution rate of 35.8%; Most of the newly registered foreign trade operators are small and medium-sized enterprises.

Talking about the foreign trade situation in the second half of this year, Zhang Bin said that at present, the development of foreign trade is facing many uncertain factors, the risk of stagflation in the world economy has increased significantly, and many major economies have continued to raise interest rates, so the prospect of trade growth is not optimistic. At the same time, domestic and international logistics still need to further improve efficiency. In the second half of this year, we will highlight three key points and take various measures to stabilize foreign trade

Amplification amount. We will increase support for export credit insurance. We will fully tap the potential of cross-border e-commerce, and deeply cultivate comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce. Make good use of the signed free trade agreements to guide enterprises to accurately explore the international market. We should make good use of exhibitions such as China International Fair and Canton Fair, and encourage enterprises to grasp orders through various channels. We will support the export of large-scale complete sets of high-tech and high-value-added equipment and jointly build the "belt and road" key projects.

Stable stock. On the basis of closely tracking, studying and judging the situation, we should implement policies and measures such as promoting the stability and quality improvement of foreign trade. We will strengthen the guarantee of production and operation of foreign trade enterprises, smooth the logistics blocking points in time, and promote the standardization of port related charges. We should support the steady development of processing trade, give full play to the role of processing trade Industrial Park and undertaking area, and guide the orderly transfer to the central and western regions and Northeast China.

Strong security. Guide all localities to increase efforts to stabilize foreign trade, stabilize expectations of small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises, and effectively support foreign trade enterprises to reduce costs. We should strengthen coordination with relevant departments to form a joint force for stabilizing foreign trade. Research and promote the introduction of targeted measures. We will actively expand imports to ensure domestic supply of bulk commodities. Strengthen the cultivation of national import trade promotion innovation demonstration zones.

Consumption shows a positive recovery trend, and multiple measures are taken to promote the sustained recovery of consumption

An Baojun, deputy director of the Consumption Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce, said that in the first half of this year, China's consumer market experienced three stages: a smooth start, a downward pressure and a gradual recovery. With the overall improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation and the implementation of policies and measures for promoting consumption through steady growth, the consumer market has shown a positive recovery trend in the near future.

"More efforts are needed to restore consumption." Anbaojun said that in the second half of this year, various measures will be taken to promote the sustained recovery of consumption. Focus on the following work:

We will further expand the consumption of automobiles and green smart home appliances, and promote local governments to introduce supporting measures in combination with the actual situation of the region; We will accelerate the healthy and orderly development of new formats and models such as live broadcast e-commerce and social e-commerce, and expand new services for digital life; We will promote the innovation and development of time-honored brands, successfully hold the consumer Expo, and continue to run important exhibitions such as the China International Fair; In the city, we should accelerate the cultivation and construction of international consumption center cities, promote the high-quality development of pedestrian streets, and accelerate the construction of a quarter hour convenient life circle; In rural areas, we should speed up the construction of County commercial system, improve and optimize the county consumption channels.

According to reports, under the premise of strict prevention and control of the epidemic situation, key consumption promotion activities such as international consumption season, Chinese food fair and time-honored Carnival will be organized. "2022 international consumption season" will be launched in Shanghai at the end of July, and various consumption promotion activities will be conducted in all localities.
