Industrial Cluster: Qianjiang Creates The Whole Sericulture Industry Chain And "Spits Out" 800 Million Yuan Of Output Value

On January 27, in the 1000 mu sericulture planting base in Puhua Community, Zhuoshui Town, Qianjiang District, winter management work such as whitewashing and pest prevention was coming to an end. Villagers gathered branches and turned over soil, creating a busy scene in the mulberry garden.

Qianjiang District is the largest sericulture base in our city. However, in the past, due to the relatively low efficiency of silkworm rearing and cocoon production, the short industrial chain and other factors, the abandonment of mulberry orchards has occurred from time to time.

In 2020, with the cooperation and support of Rizhao City, Shandong Province, Rizhao Haitong Cocoon and Silk Group will settle down in Qianjiang and establish Chongqing Haitong Cocoon and Silk Company, helping the local government to build a whole sericulture industry chain integrating planting and sericulture, silk reeling, silk weaving, silkworm biological resource processing, foreign trade and mulberry tourism, with an annual output of 800 million yuan.

　　 Sericulture faces four weaknesses

Qianjiang has been the hometown of sericulture since ancient times. According to the records of Qianjiang Annals, it has a history of more than 250 years of planting mulberry and sericulture.

In 2001, relying on the first round of pilot project of returning farmland to forest and rocky desertification control, Qianjiang District incorporated the sericulture industry into the three major agricultural pillar industries, explored the organic combination of ecological restoration and industrial development, and gradually became the largest sericulture base in Chongqing, with a planting area of 95000 mu.

"However, with the acceleration of urbanization and the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure, our sericulture industry is facing new challenges, and there are four weaknesses." The relevant person in charge of Qianjiang District Agriculture and Rural Committee introduced.

First of all, the efficiency of silkworm rearing and cocoon production is relatively low due to insufficient investment in sericulture, weak industrial infrastructure, and backward management technology.

Secondly, the scale of industrial resource development has not yet formed, and it is basically in the primary processing stage. The industrial chain is relatively short and the export market is not wide.

Thirdly, there is insufficient investment in innovation. Traditional methods and old equipment are still used in both front end mulberry planting and silkworm rearing, and back end processing and transformation.

In addition, the development of new products in the sericulture industry is not enough, and the brand driving effect is not strong.

　　 Introduce Shandong enterprises to consolidate and develop more than 30000 mu mulberry garden

Rizhao Haitong Cocoon Silk Group is the leading enterprise in the domestic sericulture industry, with an annual production capacity of 2500 tons of raw silk.

In 2020, the company entered Qianjiang District, registered and established Chongqing Haitong Cocoon and Silk Company, established standardized workshops, equipped with silk reeling equipment and cocoon drying equipment, and consolidated and developed 36900 mu mulberry gardens in 11 towns and villages, including Jinxi Town, Shijia Town, Shuishi Town, Shuitian Township and Baitu Township, in the way of "company+base+farmers".

In order to ensure the benefits of sericulture farmers, Qianjiang District implements the base construction model of government support for base construction, enterprise led base management, and sericulture farmers' independent production, takes the lead in piloting the whole district's cocoon income insurance nationwide, and implements the policy of "purchase price+insurance income+production subsidies".

Under the support of this policy, the average price of Qianjiang cocoons increased from 35 yuan/kg to 50 yuan/kg, the purchase price of fresh cocoons increased by 42.8% year on year, and the farmers' income per load of fresh cocoons reached 2500 yuan.

Qianjiang District also innovated the production technology system of sericulture industry, cooperated with Qianjiang Branch of Chongqing Academy of Sericulture Sciences and Rizhao Haitong Cocoon Silk Group and other enterprises, solved the problems of safe interval time for sericulture in batches and cocoon rearing and heating in late autumn, lengthened the sericulture time and increased the unit cocoon production.

With the cooperation and support of Rizhao City, Qianjiang District has cultivated a batch of enterprises such as Chongqing Hongfan Agriculture, Junhong Edible Fungus Plantation, Chongqing Aoxiangqing Candle Company, Chongqing Wuliutang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and initially formed cocoon, silk, mulberry food (mulberry branch fungus, mulberry leaf noodles, mulberry tea, etc.), mulberry medicine, pupa high protein food Integrated development pattern of primary, secondary and tertiary industries such as Silk Museum.

For example, Chongqing Hongfan Agriculture processes waste mulberry branches into edible fungus culture materials, which are used to produce mulberry black fungus, mulberry pleurotus, shiitake and mulberry delicate mushroom, with an annual output of 100 tons of mulberry mushroom, 300 tons of mulberry fungus, 200000 bottles of mushroom paste, and a comprehensive annual output value of more than 50 million yuan.

For another example, Qianjiang District, with the cooperation funds of 3.1 million yuan from Shandong and Chongqing, plus 4 million yuan raised by Chongqing Hanzhen Jade Silk Co., Ltd., plans to build production lines for mulberry leaf black tea and mulberry leaf noodles, and assembly lines for water washed silk quilts and silk pillows in industrial and rural areas of Shihui Town.

In addition, Qianjiang has also set up a Wuling Mountain Silk Museum in Zhuoshui Ancient Town, and a sericulture cultural and creative experience hall in Taiji Municipal Sericulture Town to exhibit and sell silk products such as clothing, hand gifts, silk production technology and Qianjiang silkworm culture.
