Bosnia And Herzegovina

The National Radio of Bosnia and Herzegovina reported on August 14. In the first half of the year, Bosnia and Herzegovina's textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries exported 854 million marks, a year-on-year decrease of 124 million marks, or 12.68%; The import volume was 1.155 billion marks, a year-on-year decrease of 69.4266 million marks, or 5.66%; The coverage rate of exports to imports is 73.83%.

In this regard, the Chamber of Commerce for Foreign Trade in Bosnia and Herzegovina pointed out that the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries in the country are facing a series of challenges that affect employment and competitiveness. First of all, these industries lack educated workers and technicians, which not only lack relevant education and training resources, but also limit the development and improvement of production processes. Secondly, the international market is overstocked and demand decreases. At the same time, high tariffs on raw materials imported from third countries have greatly increased production costs. Third, these industries are also facing the pressure of automated production and competition from cheap labor from other countries.

The Chamber of Commerce for Foreign Trade believes that in order to maintain competitiveness, these industries should focus on improving the quality of labor force, diversifying production and developing to a high level. Produce quality products and develop marketing strategies to better position the market. The Chamber of Commerce for Foreign Trade emphasizes that the coordinated efforts of the private sector, national institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and educational institutions are the key to the sustainable development and prosperity of these industries.

The textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries are the main sources of employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the employment of people with low qualifications or educational background.
