Jimo Garment'S Comprehensive Strength Ranks Third Among The Top Ten Garment Markets In China
On October 18, 12 students from textile production enterprises in Lesotho, Nepal, South Africa and Suriname entered the clothing market in Jimo District, Qingdao, to learn more about the development of local clothing trade.
Jimo clothing market is the development leader of Jimo's business and trade industry and the incubator of the second and third industries. The market started in the early 1980s, and has undergone four relocations. Now, the market was built in 2007. It has developed into a modern large-scale professional clothing wholesale market with the largest single area in China, and its comprehensive strength and competitiveness rank third among the top ten clothing markets in China.
The market is divided into five business zones, A, B, C, D and E, with complete market facilities and perfect functions. It mainly deals in more than 50000 varieties of five major categories, including clothing, textiles, knitwear, children's clothing, and shoes, and sells well across the country. The maximum number of people listed on the market per day is 320000, and the maximum daily trading volume is 150 million yuan. At present, the market floor area has reached 365000 square meters, and the total number of shops has reached more than 6000.
On the same day, foreign friends walked into the cultural exhibition hall of Jimo International Trade City to have a detailed understanding of the history and current situation of the development of the textile clothing and trade logistics industry in Jimo District, as well as the evolution of the clothing market. In Zone B of the clothing market, a wide range of women's clothes, shoes and hats have attracted the attention of foreign friends, especially the new Chinese style clothes in various forms, which have been selected and tried on.
Soni Amatya, a nurse from Nepal Aspatal Co., Ltd., said that she liked Chinese clothes very much. On the same day, she also came to Jimo wearing the new Chinese clothes she bought in Nepal. "This market is very large, which is different from the market in our country. It contains a variety of clothing products. You can buy clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. you want here. I'm very happy to be here, so we feel a different business culture." She said.
The international friends who visited this time came from the "Textile Technology Training Course for Developing Countries" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, aiming to promote the new development of the textile and clothing industry in China through exchange and learning. The event was organized by Shandong Vocational College of Foreign Trade and co organized by Qingdao Mingshuo Human Resources Management Co., Ltd.
In the near future, the trainees of this training class will come to Jimo again to visit and exchange with textile and clothing enterprises, and further understand the development of Jimo textile and clothing industry.
