In the international textile fabrics and Accessories Expo 2020 (hereinafter referred to as "Intertextile autumn and winter flour Accessories Exhibition") held in Shanghai from September 23 to 25, and China International Textile yarn (autumn and winter) exhibition 2020 (hereinafter referred to as "yarnexpo autumn and winter yarn Exhibition") held at the same time in Shanghai, the cotton International Association (cotton) of the United States (hereinafter referred to as the "autumn and winter yarn Exhibition") was held in Shanghai USA) promoted the U.S. cotton trust protocol to the global textile industry at two exhibition booths. The code of trust brings quantifiable and verifiable goals and measures for responsible cotton cultivation and promotes continuous improvement of key sustainability indicators in cotton production.

"To meet the growing demand for environmental certification by brands and retailers, the US cotton trust code sets new standards for sustainable cotton cultivation." The director of China and Northeast Asia, cotton International Association of America, said. "The adoption of the code of trust cotton will provide protection for brands and retailers to ensure that cotton fibers used in the product supply chain are grown in a sustainable manner with lower environmental and social risks."

Mills, textile companies and brands and retailers can now register to join the U.S. cotton trust code, a new system for responsible cotton cultivation that will provide annual data on six sustainable development areas in accordance with the U.N. sustainability goals. With these unprecedented year-on-year data, brands and retailers will be able to better measure progress in meeting sustainability commitments.

Exchange materials and fiber materials can be selected as one of the top brands of textile and cotton in the U.S. this year. In May, cotton international joined the sustainable apparel Coalition (SAC) and will use its sustainability assessment tool, higg index, to promote environmental and social responsibility throughout the supply chain.

According to a recent global survey conducted by the U.S. cotton trust code, 54% of sustainable development leaders of clothing and textile brands said that since the outbreak of new crown pneumonia, their customers' demand for environmentally sustainable business practices and products has increased. "The whole supply chain has been hit by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, but the survey shows that companies and their customers are still concerned about sustainable development," said Mao. Systems like the code of trust will be more important than ever before to give brands the data they need to prove that they are achieving science based sustainability. "

At this year's booth of cotton International Association of America, a number of American cotton certified enterprises and brands were also displayed, including Chunlan textiles, cone denim, Daxing knitters, H.W. textiles, lucky textile and Qingdao jerid Textile, Shanghai Schiesser and Zhejiang sunrise textiles produce high-quality products rich in American cotton, while enabling professional audiences to understand current market and consumer research results, as well as ongoing procurement plans that match U.S. cotton buyers and suppliers throughout the supply chain.
