Bangladesh Gives 15% Export Subsidy To Leather Products

The Central Bank of Mencius (BB) recently issued a notice announcing that in fiscal year 2008 (from July 1, 2007 to June 31, 2008), 14 kinds of products will be granted export subsidies in different proportions according to their FOB prices, including agricultural products 20%, leather products 15%, home-made textiles 5%, frozen food 10%, bone meal 15%, tobacco 10%, jute products 7.5%, potatoes 10%, bicycles 15%, light 10% of industrial products, 15% of day old chickens and 20% of halal meat.
