Clothing Retail Sales In Hongkong Grew By 23.6% Year-On-Year In August

Sales of furniture and fixtures fell by 1.8%.
Other categories recorded include electrical and photographic equipment (53.7%), jewellery and clocks and gifts (33.6%), clothing (23.6%), department store products (17.3%), footwear and related products and other clothing accessories (16.4%), miscellaneous consumer goods (15.2%), automotive and automotive parts (14%), supermarket goods (5%), and fuel (2.6%).
In July, the total retail sales value was revised to $35 billion 200 million, an annual increase of 29.1%, while the total sales volume increased by 22.4%.
In the first 8 months of this year, the total retail sales value increased by 25.6% and the total sales volume increased by 19.7%.
